For every calling, every path, every momentous decision that we take there is that initial seed, a tipping point, a catalyst which pushes us in a direction we might otherwise not have chosen. For me that was an Arabian stallion called Clifford.

As so many of us I’d ridden since childhood, been thrown up onto the craziest of horses, learnt my craft as much from my mistakes as actual tuition and developed a passion for understanding and working with horses. And, I was pretty good, or so I thought!

And then came Clifford, an Arabian stallion who, after a tricky start to life, posed more challenges than I imagined possible. Challenged my beliefs and made me want to look for solutions, different ways to work with him, alternative options…a hybrid model of all of the things I had learned. And so Bev Walton Responsive Equine, and Clifford evolved.
